PAKISTAN v ZIMBABWE 1993-94 Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1995
At Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi, December 25. Pakistan won by six wickets. Toss: Pakistan. Pakistan claimed the series with their second win in two days, though they did not reach their target of 196 until the final over. Saeed Anwar and Asif Mujtaba gave them a comfortable start, with 88 for the first wicket. Dekker bowled Anwar and Basit Ali in quick succession but Mujtaba, dropped by Dekker on 45, proceeded serenely until he was out in the penultimate over with eight required. Zimbabwe had owed much of their 195 to Campbell and Houghton, who put on 102 for the third wicket; Campbell made 74 and Houghton, with a 49-ball fifty, became the first Zimbabwean to score 1,000 runs in one-day internationals. Man of the Match: Asif Mujtaba. © Wisden CricInfo Ltd |
