SRI LANKA v WEST INDIES 1993-94
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1995

At Sinhalese Sports Club, Colombo, December 18. West Indies won by six wickets. Toss: West Indies.

Heavy rain reduced the final contest to 25 overs a side – further curtailed by West Indies' inability to complete their quota in time. The pitch had sweated profusely and offered ample movement which Walsh exploited to capture the first three wickets and, though De Silva batted sensibly, Sri Lanka failed to recover. West Indies were cruising at first but the spinners put on enough pressure to raise the asking-rate to 35 in five overs. However, Arthurton struck a gigantic six over extra cover to ease the pressure and put West Indies on course for victory.

Man of the Match: K. L. T. Arthurton. Man of the Series: B. C. Lara.
