PAKISTAN v SRI LANKA
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1995

At Sharjah, October 30. Pakistan won by 114 runs. Toss: Sri Lanka.

Left-handers Saeed Anwar and Asif Mujtaba, promoted to open, started with 171 in 31 overs, which some hard hitting from the middle order came close to doubling. Saeed contributed a dashing 107 in 109 balls, while Mujtaba advanced to an unbeaten century, his first in limited-overs internationals. In contrast, Sri Lanka had lost both their openers by the seventh over, and Jayasuriya's best efforts could not lift his team-mates anywhere near a daunting run-rate of 6.26.

Man of the Match: Asif Mujtaba.
