INDIA v PAKISTAN
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1995

At Sharjah, April 15. Pakistan won by six wickets. Toss: Pakistan.

The teams had not met since the World Cup, more than two years earlier, and Pakistan comfortably reversed India's win then. Opener Saeed Anwar, who had hit three successive hundreds in Sharjah a few months earlier, scored 72 from 69 balls, while Basit Ali, with a run-a-ball 75, completed the victory with five and a half overs to spare. India had thrown away an equally impressive start, given them by Tendulkar, who scored 73 from 64 balls. But India collapsed from 156 for two to 219 all out.

Man of the Match: Saeed Anwar.
