ZIMBABWE v SRI LANKA 1994-95
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1996

At Harare, November 6. Sri Lanka won by 191 runs. Toss: Zimbabwe.

More wonderful batting from De Silva, whose unbeaten 107 came off 100 balls, and a hard-hit 85 from 83 by Ranatunga swept Sri Lanka to a total of 296, which proved way out of Zimbabwe's reach. The Sri Lankans added 143 for the fourth wicket in just 24 overs and De Silva brought up his hundred with a six.

The series decider ceased to be a contest when Zimbabwe were four down in their first five overs. They made no attempt thereafter to meet an asking-rate of six an over and were bowled out for a mere 105 (Dekker having retired with a cut finger) in front of a disappointed 3,000-strong crowd.
