South Africa v Sri Lanka 1994-95
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 1996

At Bloemfontein, December 15 (day/night). Sri Lanka won by 35 runs. Toss: Sri Lanka. International debut: S. D. Jack. Good fortune had eluded Sri Lanka in their first three matches, and their first victory of the tournament was thoroughly deserved. Though their innings seemed to have lost its way at 70 for three, a blistering 60 from Ranatunga from 52 balls revived it in thrilling fashion as he added 91 with de Silva. Hudson played several handsome drives and pulls, which brought him seven fours. But Sri Lanka's varied spin attack took charge and South Africa slid to 115 for seven, from which there was no escape.
