Tickets went on sale only six weeks ago and Nottinghamshire officials feel this demand underlines the need for them to provide extra seating at the ground. They hope to do this next winter by redeveloping the Radcliffe Road end if an application for #3.75 million of National Lottery funding is successful.
``The level of interest for occasions like this shows that we need to increase the capacity of the ground in the near future especially with us likely to be staging at least three matches in the 1999 World Cup,'' said Mark Arthur, the Notts marketing manager.
