SHANE WARNE and captain Mark Taylor may be forced to pull out of Australia's tour of India starting next month because of injury, despite being named in a 14-man squad yesterday.

The pair, both recovering from surgery, missed the recent tour to Sri Lanka when Ian Healy led the team.

Warne is recovering from an operation in May to repair ligament damage on a finger while Taylor underwent surgery to repair a damaged disc in his back.

The 14-man Australian squad will play one Test against India from Oct 10-14 in New Delhi, and then two countries will play South Africa in a triangular one-day series.

Australia Squad: *M A Taylor, -I A Healy, M G Bevan, D W Fleming, J Gillespie, B Hogg, S G Law, G D McGrath, R T Ponting, P R Reiffel, M J Slater, S R Warne, M E Waugh, S R Waugh.
