Sri Lanka have confirmed their participation at the second World Masters' Cricket Cup in Mumbai in November this year.
Mumbai is hosting the tournament for the second year running at the famous Brabourne Stadium, Cricket Club of India and the participating countries are South Africa, England and India in Group 'A', and Australia, West Indies and Sri Lanka in Group 'B'.
The winners and runner-up of each group will qualify to play in the knockout stage of the competition - the semi-finals and final. All matches are 45 overs-a-side. School Games from October 5
West Indian Brian Lara who has been rated No. 1 in the CEAT International Cricketer of the Year Contest, will receive the top award at a colourful ceremony to be held in Bombay, India on Monday.
The CEAT International Cricketer of the Year is picked by a special three-member panel which comprises three former Test captains Sir Clive V (West Indies), Sunil Gavaskar (India) and Ian Chappell (Australia). Lara has collected a total of 74 points to have an attractive average of 4.63.
