In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said that Zaheer Abbas was one of the leading cricketers and prolific run getter of the world and the omission of his name from the list of 100 best cricketers, compiled by Woodcock was absolutely an unforgivable crime of the correspondent, who claims to be one of the best cricket correspondents of the world. Mr Solangi said that he (Woodcock) had made himself partial by giving preference to what he termed 'white skin cricketers' over the others. He said and added that omission of Zaheer Abbas from the said list has utterly disappointed the cricket loving community in the world in general and Pakistan in particular.

He remarked that Zaheer's outstanding record of Test and first class cricket was enough proof to be included in the best 50 cricketers of the world adding that for the good name of cricket, Mr Woodcock should tender his apology to Zaheer and the people of Pakistan as well, ``I will appeal to the supreme body of cricket, ICC to appoint a commission to ascertain that how many names of deserving players have been ignored by Woodcock besides Zaheer Abbas'', he said.

NEW FORMAT: Meanwhile the secretary HDCA has sent a communication to Majid Khan, the chief executive PCB regarding new format for domestic cricket.

The HDCA has informed that after due deliberation at the council meeting here at Niaz Stadium it has been resolved that this new format will not prove fruitful and beneficial to domestic cricket. The letter said that hue and cry has risen from cricket circles without having consensus on the issue and the format should not be imposed on the participating association.

The HDCA suggested that matter should be placed before the PCB council in near future for consideration and proper approval.
