Kochchikade CC playing in the Division III limited over cricket tournament conducted by the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka have performed well so far winning five matches in a row with one match ending in a no decision due to rain.
A few cricket enthusiasts with Robin Assarappa at the helm formed this Club in Kochchikade, Negombo,and have teamed up well to continue the popularity of the game in this coconut plantation and tile factory area.
In their outings so far two of the all-rounders of the side Gayan Wijesinghe with two half centuries to his credit and Prasad Amerasinghe with a haul of 17 wkts for 90 runs and with an outstanding performance of 9 for 25 against Supersonics SC along with Sumedha Fernando and Dilruk Niranjan have contributed usefully with both bat and ball to maintain the winning spree.
