This was disclosed by the PCB Treasurer, Waqar Hasan, while addressing the gathering at the prize-giving ceremony of the Veterans Cup cricket tournament here on Wednesday.
Waqar, a former Test batsman of yesteryear, said that the recent one-day series against India proved to be a great success for the PCB as the proceeds from the sale of tickets for the matches yielded 1,200,000 at Hyderabad and Rs 4,200,000 at Karachi and 3,700,000 from the day/night encounter at Lahore.
Waqar, who was the chief guest on the occasion, later gave away team and individual prizes. The winners trophy was given to Ijaz Fawwad Khan, skipper of Ideal Group while the runners-up trophy went to A.O. Veterans captain Dr S.M.A. Shah.
Individual awards were presented to Waqar Hussain (best wicketkeeper), Naeem Ahmed (best bowler), Ijaz Faqih (best allrounder), Alamgir (best fielder) and Irfan Khan (best batsman).
