Australian Academy in Sri Lanka: Internationals played in Galle again

Galle will host its first international cricket match for some time, when the Australian Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy team takes on a Sri Lanka XI in the third and final four-day match from September 20-23.

The first match of the Australian Academy's three-week tour of Sri Lanka will take place at the Sara Stadium from September 10-13 followed by the second 4-day game also against Sri Lanka XI at the SSC from September 15-18.

Three one-day limited-over matches are also scheduled to be played in Colombo and Moratuwa.

The itinerary with the officiating umpires:

September 10-13 (1st four-day match) at Sara Stadium : L.V. Jayasundera and J.G. Pushparajah (stand/by : D.A.S. Dissanayake).

September 15-18 (2nd four-day match) at SSC: D.A.S. Dissanayake and M.M. Mendis (s/b R.M.S. Sirisoma).

September 20-23 (3rd four-day match) at Galle Stadium: T.H. Wijewardena and R.M.S. Sirisoma (s\b L.V. Jayasundera).

September 25 (1st one-day match) at Sara Stadium : D.A.S. Dissanayake and J.G. Pushparajah (s\b T.H. Wijewardena).

September 27 (2nd one-day match) at Moratuwa Stadium : M.M. Mendis and R.M.S. Sirisoma (s\b J.G. Pushparajah).

September 28 (3rd one-day match) at SSC : T.H. Wijewardena and L.V. Jayasundera (s\b M.M. Mendis). - [S.T.]
