Six matches of the 16th national schools cricket championship were held at different venues across the city yesterday, reports UNB.

Safiuddin Sarkar Academy, Pre-Cadet Child Care, South Bridge School, Mohakhali Model School, Oxford International School and Dhanmondi Tutorial School won their respective matches.

Safiuddin Sarkar Academy defeated Al-Hera Academy by seven wickets at the Dhanmondi Club ground.

Batting first, Al-Hera scored 117 in 31.3 overs. In reply, Safiuddin Academy made 118 for three in 17.2 overs.

Pre-Cadet Child Care School beat Civil Aviation School by 79 runs at the Uttara Friends Club ground.

Pre-Cadet were dismissed for 151 in 33.1 overs. In reply, Civil Aviation managed 72 in 24.3 overs.

South Bridge defeated Bangladesh Rifles School by two wickets at the T&T ground.

Bangladesh Rifles School scored 158 in 33.5 overs. In reply, South Bridge reached 159 for eight in 34.5 overs.

Mohakhali Model School beat Junior Lab School by two wickets at the City Club ground.

Junior Lab made 238 in 34.1 overs with Reza contributed 65. In reply, Mohakhali Model totalled 239 for eight in 30.5 overs.

At the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium, Oxford International School defeated Saint Jose School by nine runs.

Oxford scored 201 for six in stipulated 35 overs. In reply, Saint Jose scored 192 in 34.3 overs.

Dhanmondi Tutorial School beat Titas Gas School by four wickets at the Mirpur Outer Stadium.

Batting first, Titas Gas scored 97 in 21.3 overs. In reply, Dhanmondi made 98 for six in 11.2 overs.
