Sri Lankan women heading for easy win

The Sri Lanka women's cricket team were in line for a comfortable victory after dominating the third day's play in their first test match against the touring Pakistan cricket team continued at the Colts grounds, Havelock Park yesterday.

The home side declared their second innings at 270 for 8 with Chamini Seneviratne compiling a fine unbeaten knock of 106 and supported by Vanessa Bowen (64) and Dedunu Gunaratne (29). The visitors then collapsed to 88 for 9 in their second innings with Rasanjali de Silva (4 for 28) and Rose Fernando (3 for 23) causing the damage.

Sri Lanka 307 for 9 decl and 270 for 8 decl (Chamini Seneviratne 106 n.o, Vanessa Bowen 64, Dedunu Gunarartne 29, Shaiza Khan 3 for 26, Nazrie Nazeer 4 for 19).
