PCB Selection Committee will meet on 30 Aug, 1998 to select Pakistan's team for Sahara Cup at Qaddafi Stadium
PCB - 24 August 1998

1. The PCB Selection Committee will meet at the Qaddafi Stadium Lahore on 30 August 98 at 5 PM to select Pakistan's team to participate in Sahara Cup starting in Tornoto, Canada from 11 September 1998.

2. Some of the newspapers recently carried a news item that the TV technology used by the third umpire would be extended to include all decisions other than L.B.W's. The ICC has issued the following clarification.

"International cricket has been at the forefront of sport in using technology in these areas. As technology improves, we will keep the position under review but there are no plans for further changes at this time.
3. As a result of the applications received by the ICC from, all over the world, the ICC has appointed Mr. Ross Turner of New South Wales Cricket Association as Development Manager. He will be stationed at the Lord's London. The position was created to provide leadership and coordination of the new ICC Development programme being officially launched on 27th October 1998.
Mr. Turner is said to have done an outstanding job over the past nine years as Development Manager of the New South Wales Cricket Association in Australia.
