A century by David Jones of St. George Secondary was the outstanding performance on the first day of BET under-15 matches yesterday.

Jones scored 105 of the 182 scored by his side against hosts St. Lucy Secondary who were struggling at 57 for eight at the close.

There was also the now familiar one day defeat for Alma Parris who were beaten by an innings an 19 runs by Lodge.

The St. Peter school could muster innings totals of only 33 and 35.

The day's highest score was at Princess Margaret where the home team declared at 202 for nine. Louis Lynch were in trouble at 44 for four by the close.
