Subject: Misreporting
Please refer to a news report captioned "Subcontinent to demand life bans on Aussies" (The News) and "ICC to be moved for life ban on Warne, Waugh" (Dawn) published in their Sports section dated December 27, 1998.
Mr. Khalid Mehmood Chairman PCB denies having given an interview or a statement expressing the views attributed to him. The report which is absolutely wrong and unfounded is likely to create unnecessary misunderstanding in the cricket world on this issue.
PCB has demanded issuance of suitable contradiction of the news and a warning to the 'Reuters' correspondent concerned, to avoid circulating such baseless news.
