Bangladesh: CCDM needs a sponsor

The Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolitan (CCDM) which is responsible for organising all the leagues in the capital, is looking for a sponsor for the First Division which will commence from the last week of December.

The secretary of the CCDM Mahmud UI Haque Manu said yesterday. Talking to The Daily Star, also said that no one has so far shown any interest. Last season it was sponsored by Yamaha in the 1996-97 season.

Twelve team will take part in the league which will be held in two phases. After the first phase, top six teams will vie for the title through a super league while the others will fight it out in the relegation league.

Top two finishers from the super league will be promoted to the Premier league next season while the bottom two will find themselves in Division Two.
