KARACHI, Dec 30: The Board of Control for Cricket in Indian (BCCI) on Wednesday announced venues of the two Test matches against Pakistan, Star TV reported.

The first Test would be played at New Delhi between Jan 28 and Feb 1 while the second cricket Test will be played at Chennai with Kanpur as the stand-bye centre. The second Test starts from Feb 4.

Pakistan, who will cross the border for the first time in 11 years for a Test series, will play only one three-dayer between Jan 23 and 25. The venue of the match was, however, not revealed though Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials expected it to be New Delhi.

Pakistan were initially scheduled to play three Tests in India. But the third Test has been replaced by Asian Test Championship's opener to be played at Calcutta's Eden Gardens.

Pakistan's matches have not been scheduled in the Maharastra state on Pakistan Cricket Board's request after threats by Hindu extremist party Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena were instrumental in the postponement of Pakistan's previous two Tests tours earlier this decade.
