Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa beat Thurstan College, Colombo by 103 runs in their inter-school under-13 division one cricket match for the Horlicks Trophy played recently at Moratuwa. Cambrian skipper Achala Kurukulasuriya claimed five victims behind the stumps and scored 14 runs.

Old Moratu Vidyalians beat Old Wesleyites

Old Moratu Vidyalians Sports Club beat Old Wesleyites Sports Club by four wickets in their Division III inter-club cricket tournament sponsored by the Colombo District Cricket Association. Old Wesleyites batting first were all out for 111 runs with M. Faiz and K. Rodrigo scoring 26 runs respectively. OMVSC scored the required runs for the loss of six wickets. Chintaka Fernando unbeaten with 45 and Lucky Rogers and A. Wickramatilleke scoring 23 runs each.
