Sixteen players to Australia

The national cricket selectors have extended the Sri Lanka squad to Australia to 16 players by including SSC's left-arm fast-medium bowler Ruchira Perera.

Cricket Board sources said, the decision for an additional player was made because England were also putting out a squad of 16 players for the Carlton and United World Series Cup triangular.

The triangular commences on January 11 with host Australia, England and Sri Lanka competing.

The Sri Lanka team led by Arjuna Ranatunga leaves for Australia on December 28.
