Prasad, Mallawarachchi excel

Two elegant knocks of S. Prasad 96 (12 fours) for Sri Sumangala Maha Vidyalaya, Wariyapola and 97 (14 fours) by M. Mallawarachchi for Japalwatta Madhya Maha Vidyalaya, Minuwangoda, was the highlight of their Coca Bottlers Schools under-19 cricket tournament match concluded at Wariyapola.

Zanher sees CIS staff to victory

M. Zanher (39 and five wickets for 9 runs) saw his team to victory over the Ceylon Shipping Lines staffers in their inaugural cricket match played on the CCC grounds. The CIS Staff won by three wickets.

CSL 95 all out in 28.4 over (Priyankara 39, Samantha 15, Shiran 11, M. Zanher 5 for 9 runs, David Sanders 2 for 29, Bandula Fernando 1 for 23).

CIS 98/7 in 27.1 overs (M. Zanher 39 (with 1 six, 4 fours), M. Liyanage 15, C. Grayhurst 19, Priyankara 2 for 22, Indika 2 for 20, Chamal 2 for 10).
