Trinity shot out for 47 by Cambrians

Prince of Wales held the whip hand after dismissing Trinity for 47 and forcing them to follow on on the first day of their schools cricket match at Moratuwa yesterday.

Kelum Fernando took 5 for 16 as Trinity were bowled for a small total in reply to the Cambrians' 206. Following on the visitors were 34 for 2. The match continues today at 10 a.m.

Trinity 47 in 16.3 overs (R. Rafayal 34, Kelum Fernando 5 for 16, Thusara Silva 2 for nought, D. Gamage 2 for 13) and 34 for 2 at close.

ST SEBASTIAN'S v THURSTAN

Sri Lanka under 19 World Cup cricketer Prasanna Jayawardena hit a superb 70 to steer St. Sebastian's to 286 for 7 declared on the first day of their schools cricket match against Thurstan at Moratuwa yesterday.

The match continues today at 10 a.m. with Thurstan on 93 for 5.

ANANDA BEAT ZAHIRA

S. Rupasinghe took a match bag of 10 for 60 to pilot Ananda to a 10-wicket win over Zahira in their schools cricket match concluded at Ananda Mawatha yesterday.

Ananda 277 (J. Perera 105 n.o., T. Kandamby 33, M. Malawarachchi 50, H. Badurdeen 3 for 47, S. Nizam 3 for 21, M. Rizan 2 for 40) and 23 for no loss.
