This was revealed to the media at the launch held on Tuesday evening, at the Grand Orient Hotel by the Managing Director RSC - M.M. Mohamed.
According to Mohamed, the newly formed company (RSC), coming into being in April this year, is most opportune - taking into account cricket's popularity, all that's in store for the future and the ever increasing number of rural schools taking to the game.
The Company (RSC) is pleased that its negotiations with BDM to be their agent has concluded successfully. BDM, an accepted manufacturer of cricket equipment in India, had its origin in 1925 with just one factory and has progressed to possess three factories. It enjoys a wide reputation with many cricketers the world over, who patronise its extensive range of cricket equipment.
The objective of the local company here, is not merely to make available cricket equipment through franchise shops and other distributors, but to be also associated in other ways in the ongoing cricket environment.
The intention in this direction, is to sign up two young cricketers to promote BDM products and thereby also reward them. To provide schoolboys with suitable material scholarships and the conducting of coaching clinics in the districts.
The Marketing Consultant of RSC Khaleel - UR-Rahman, said that their priority was to ensure that cricket equipment was made freely available at affordable prices to schoolboys of the rural areas.
