``We have a unique ``Sri Lankan made for Sri Lankans'' image slot for our brand - we have consistently maintained quality levels that ensured we provided the Sri Lankan male with an international level of clothing,'' says Mr. A. F. M. Ikram, Managing Director, Emerald International, ``We entered the sports personality endorsement programmes last year by signing up with some of the top national cricket stars - this year, we have gone to the most promising young cricketers whom we feel will be an inspiration to those who wear our brand.''

The cricketers, under the agreement, will receive pants and shirts under Emerald and its sub labels for a complete year; they will also pose for brand related photography and be associated with the brand in many other ways, confirms Mr. Ikram. ``In addition to cricket stars, we will look at a cross section of personalities whom we will dress and who will represent the cream of Sri Lankan menswear to our customers.''
