STC Bandarawela on first innings

St. Thomas' College, Bandarawela, gained first innings points over Raddoluwa Madhya Maha Vidyalaya in heir under-19 Coca-Cola inter-school cricket encounter played at the Badulal Esplanade.

A superb 66 runs by J. G. Kalansooriya enabled STC to score 218 runs in heir first innings while S. Arangala captured 5 wickets for 43 runs. In reply Raddoluwa MMV declared their innings at 205 runs for 7 wickets. AT close of play STC were 136 for 6 wickets.

S.Thomas' Matara were 115 for 5 in reply to Mahinda's 140 on the first day of their inter school cricket match at the Uyanwatte Esplanade matara yesterday.

A fine 131 with ten fours and a six by S.S.Mendis and accurate bowling by A.Ramanayake (4 for 28) put St.Servatius Matara in a commanding position on the first day in their inter school cricket match against Bandaranaike MV Gampaha at the UC grounds Matara yesterday.

Bandaranaike MV in reply were reeling at 64 for 8 at close.

St.Servatius 298 for 7 declared ( S.S.Mendis 131, M.Subodana 27, R.Jothimuni 59, N.Karunapala 3 for 64.)

Bandaranaike MV Gampaha 64 for 8 at close ( S.Kalavitigoda 28, A.Ramanayake 4 for 28, S.Athula 3 for 28)

D.S.Senanayake College were 105 for 2 in reply to St.Joseph's 234 for 8 declared on day one in their inter school cricket encounter at Darley Road yesterday.
