Mr. Javed Akhtar (an umpire from Pakistan on ICC National Grid Panel) has been appointed by the
ICC to stand in England vs South Africa 5th Test match being played at Headingley from 6th to 10th
August 1998. This is the first time that a Pakistani umpire has been appointed to supervise a match
being p[layed in England.
