Dhaka Zonal schools semis today

Maple Leaf made it to the last four of Dhaka zone in the 16th National School Cricket Championship with a comprehensive 64-run win over Loreto at the Mahakhali T&T ground yesterday. The victory also assured the winners of a berth in the final round.

Nafis hammered an unbeaten 71 as Maple Leaf piled up a huge 173 for five in the stipulated 35 overs after opting to bat first. Apart from Nafis, Zobayer was the other notable batsman who chipped in with 37.

In reply, Loreto were bundled out for 109 in 31.4 overs in the face of some fired up bowling from Salman and Ali Bashar who evenly shared eight wickets. Salman conceded only 10 runs for his four wickets while Ali Bashar gave away 16 runs for his four victims.

In today's semifinals, Maple Leaf will take on BKSP at the Uttara Friends' Club ground while Scholastica will meet Willes Little Flower School at the City Club ground.
