CRICKET: Tony Powell completed a century as St. Catherine Cricket Club defeated Boys' Town by an innings and 50 runs at Up Park Camp yesterday to claim the runners-up spot in the Senior Cup.

Scores: Boys' Town 202 and 70 for nine batting one short; St. Catherine 322 for eight declared.

St. Catherine's captain Ephraim McLeod praised his players whom he said did well to take the team to the runners-up slot after they were hit by adverse weather during the season.

Powell hit ten fours and two sixes in compiling 115 while Tamar Lambert scored 71 as St. Catherine, resuming on their overnight 109 for three, went for quick runs. Winston Myers took four for 70.

Audley Sanson with five for 27 and spinner Bevan Brown with three for 14 sent Boys' Town packing in their second innings. Vere Technical schoolboy Shane Powell topscored with 25.
