THE HOSTILITY of Corey Collymore (3/38), the control of Lonelle Hutson (3/28), and the spin of Anthony Morris (3/18), propelled Cable and Wireless BET to a comprehensive 99-run victory over Sports & Games YMPC yesterday.
Set to score 206 for victory after BET declared 34 minutes into the day's play, YMPC fell for 107, losing their last seven wickets for 24 runs.
Anthony Morris and Rommel Brathwaite quickly added 40 to BET's overweek score at better than even time.
YMPC started their reply positively and the first wicket posted 28 without any real alarms before Leon Layne edged Hutson to first slip.
Roger Coward was soon deceived by a slower ball from Hutson at 31 for two but Ian Straughn and Adrian Jones, who batted soundly for 38, took the score past 50.
On the stroke of tea Straughn was caught by wicketkeeper Brathwaite off off-spinner Morris with the score 56.
On resumption Rollockseemed intent on continuing the victory bid even after Jones fell leg before to Hutson at 83 for four.
Rollock, having been dropped twice off Morris fell to the same bowler, caught at long-off, to reduce YMPC to 86 for five.
Damien Harte was a needless run out while Jason Zeddo was caught down leg side off Morris and Collymore fired out the last three batsmen.
