KARACHI, Nov 16: Pakistan's champion batsmen Inzamam-ul-Haq and Saeed Anwar have confirmed their availability for the series against Zimbabwe.

According to informed sources, the two players confirmed their availability to the chief selector on Monday morning.

Unconfirmed reports said Waqar Younis and Mushtaq Ahmad have also expressed their willingness to play in the home series.

While it was still unclear if the Younis and Ahmad would be picked in the 14-man team for the first one-day international, Haq and Anwar are certain to be recalled.

There was complete confusion on the meeting of the selection committee. On quarter said the meeting would be held on Wednesday while the other said it was scheduled for Tuesday.

Indications are the there would not be many changes in the side that was clean sweeped by Australia barring the inclusion of the missing players and the ouster of Salim Malik.

Informed sources said left-arm spinner Nadeem Khan was all set to return to the National team after being ignored for nearly four years. Khan played a Test and a one-day in the West Indies in 1993 and his last appearance was in Sharjah in 1994.

The 14 may be:

Aamir Sohail (captain), Saeed Anwar, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Ijaz Ahmad, Yousuf Yohanna, Hasan Raza, Moin Khan, Azhar Mahmood, Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, Waqar Younis, Saqlain Mushtaq, Arshad Khan and Shahid Afridi.
