Kandy regional Cricket Board will conduct a cricket coaching camp for cricket coaches and Physical Training Instructors in schools in and around Hatton Plantation District on November 26 and 27 at Dunbar grounds, Hatton commencing at 9 a.m. on both days.

The Regional Secretary of the Cricket Board II Janaka Pathirana told this correspondent that the Physical Training Instructors from schools are being given this training as they are attached to almost every school and they in turn could coach the cricketers of the schools where you do not get cricket coaches. By this cricket could be not only developed but also could reach a very large standard. Cricket coaches are attached to a handful of schools but there are PTIs in almost every school. Thus cricket could be introduced to most schools.

This coaching camp will be conducted by Regional Coach Sunil Fernando, who will be assisted by bernard Perera, Harold Ranasinghe, Upali Kodituwakku, Chaminda Kodikara, - all qualified cricket coaches who are attached to the Kandy Regional Board.
