New Zealand: Styris wrecks Academy batting

Northern Districts cricketer Scott Styris capped a memorable match by backing his unbeaten 156 with a five-wicket haul against the New Zealand Academy at Queen Elizabeth II Park.

The quality of Styris's effort enabled Northern Districts to take a 104-run first innings lead after the Academy was dismissed for 233 yesterday. Styris scythed through the Academy middle order with his medium-pacers, prompting a slump after the Academy had been well placed at 143 for two.
