Thomians by innings

S.Thomas' College trounced Kingswood College Kandy by an innings and 70 runs in their inter school cricket encounter concluded at Mount Lavinia yesterday.

The Thomians declared their first innings at the overnight score of 235 for 9 and then dismissed the opposition for 109 runs in their second innings with Suranga Peiris (4 for 25) and Gihan Fernando (2 for 20) causing the damage.

Nalanda under-13 on 1st innings

Nalanda Vidyalaya beat President's College on the first innings in an under-13 'A' Division Horlicks Trophy cricket match.

President's College 65 all out
(G.G.J. Perera 14, N. S. Kuruwitharachchi 4 for 10, Kasun Perera 2 for 9) and 15/2 (Kasun Perera 2 for 5).

CTC Bandarawela in second round

St. Thomas' College, Bandarawela, qualified for the second round of the Horlicks under 13 schools cricket tournament when they beat St. Thomas' College, Gurutalawa and Dharmadutha College, Badulla over the weekend.

Yasun Fernando and Rasanjaya Waduge scored half centuries while Taraka Gamage captured a match bag of 8 wickets for 60 runs and enabled STC Bandarawela to beat STC Gurutalawa by innings.

Kanchana Hettiarachchie scored 57 runs and M. Ashard captured a match bag of seven wickets for 29 runs to rout Dharmadutha College in this tournament.
