Francis for 'Ashes' Test

Sri Lanka's K.T. Francis will officiate as the International Cricket Council's independent umpire in the first cricket Test of the five-Test 'Ashes' series between England and Australia at Brisbane from November 20 to 24.

Francis' umpiring colleague is most likely to be Australia's Darrell Hair, who raised a hornets nest by calling Sri Lanka's ace spinner Muthiah Muralitharan for chucking in the Melbourne Test played two years ago.
