Thirteen of the 18 cricketers who toured England were named in a national pool of 17 by the selectors to prepare for the forthcoming one-day tournaments.

Missing from the line-up are fast bowlers Ravindra Pushpakumara and Mario Villavarayen, left-arm spinner Niroshan Bandaratilake, all-rounder Chandika Hathurusingha and wicket-keeper Prasanna Jayawardene.

Batsmen Roshan Mahanama, who was overlooked for the home series against New Zealand and the England tour, and Avishka Gunawardana, and left-arm fast bowlers Chaminda Vaas and Nuwan Zoysa fill the vacancies created following the England tour.

Both Vaas (ankle injury) and Zoysa's (back injury) inclusion are subject to fitness.

Next month Sri Lanka play in the ICC knockout tournament at Dhaka where all nine Test playing nations are involved to raise funds for developing cricket nations. In November, they will figure in a triangular tournament in Sharjah with India and Zimbabwe, before going Down Under in January, to play as the third team in the World Series Cup with Australia and England.

All players are requested to contact manager Ranjit Fernando or coach Roy Dias with regard to practice.

The national pool: Arjuna Ranatunga, Aravinda de Silva, Sanath Jayasuriya, Marvan Atapattu, Romesh Kaluwitharana, Roshan Mahanama, Hashan Tillekeratne, Muthiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas, Kumara Dharmasena, Upul Chandana, Pramodya Wickremasinghe, Russel Arnold, Mahela Jayawardene, Avishka Gunawardena, Suresh Perera, Nuwan Zoysa.
