This was revealed by BCB general secretary Syed Ashraful Huq yesterday.
``He will come on a personal visit to watch a few matches and will not appear in any TV interviews during the meet,'' Ashraful said. He will be arriving on October 27.
Earlier, due to some sponsorship problems the little Indian master was in doubt about his trip to Dhaka.
Besides, Ashraful also said that the Board was yet to receive a confirmation from Pakistan's World Cup winning captain Imran Khan and his wife Jemima. BCB has also invited them.
Tight Security
Five security agencies have been assigned to maintain law and order at the Bangabandhu National Stadium during the Wills International Cup.
This was confirmed by Bangladesh Cricket Board general secretary Syed Ashraful Huq yesterday.
The agencies are: Crops of Military Police (CMP) of Bangladesh Army, Police, Armed Police, Bangladesh National Cadet Crops (BNCC) and Group 4 - a private security firm.
Zimbabwe First
Zimbabwe, as declared earlier, will be the first team to arrive in Dhaka to take part in the Wills International Cup. According to the BCB yesterday, the Zimbabweans are expected here in the early hours of October 18.
England will be the next to arrive. They are coming in the afternoon the same day while New Zealand, who will take on Zimbabwe in the inaugural match of the nine-nation knock-out tourney involving all Test-playing countries will arrive on October 20.
South Africa will come on October 22 while world champions Sri Lanka two days later.
However, the members of the BCB sub-committee designated to receive the participating teams will have a busy day on October 25 as two teams - India and West Indies and a part of the Australian squad of six players, arriving on the day.
Six Australian one-day specialists including Brendon Julian and Adam Gilchrist will arrive here directly from down under. The other eight members will be coming from the Test team now touring Pakistan. Those eight will arrive on October 27. Remaining six players of the Test side including skipper Mark Taylor and wicket keeper Ian Healy will be here as spectators. Pakistan will arrive on October 27.
