Tickets of the forthcoming Wills International Cup, to be led at the Bangabandhu National Stadium from October 24, will also be available at the Narayanganj branch of IFIC Bank. This was disclosed yesterday by Tanveer Mazhar Islam Tanna, a Bangladesh Cricket Board vice-president and member-secretary of the Ticket and Seating Sub-committee.
Earlier on Wednesday, it was decided that tickets will be sold only in Dhaka through 12 branches of the IFIC Bank.
But according to Mr. Islam, the tickets will now be available in 13 branches of the IFIC Bank from October 20. However, tickets at the Narayanganj branch will be available up to October 22.
The following are the other 12 branches (in Dhaka) of IFIC Bank where tickets will be available -- Motijheel, FBCCI, Moulvibazaar, Dhanmondi, Shantinagar, Gulshan, Islampur, Bangshal, Elephant Road, Naya Paltan, Kawran Bazar and Malibagh.
A total of 31,175 tickets will be sold to the public for each match day. The number of tickets for the western gallery are 18,000 at the rate of Tk 150 each while for the eastern gallery the number of tickets are 12,000 at the rate of Tk 120 each. Besides 375 VIP tickets, 1400 Club house (east) and 350 Club house (west) tickets will also be sold at the rate of Tk 1500, 1000 and 1250 respectively. Apart from these, some 1800 seats have been allotted for the international gallery, tickets of which will be sold exclusively to foreigners at the rate of Tk 750 each.
All the 16 air-conditioned and 24 non air-conditioned hospitality boxes have been sold out.
Meanwhile, Asif Iqbal, the event manager of the knock-out tournament involving nine Test playing nations, arrived in the capital yesterday afternoon. He will stay in the capital till the tournament ends on November 1.
Upon his arrival in the afternoon, Asif visited the Bangabandhu National Stadium and also spent some time at the BCB office.
