Roger Harper celebrated his first-ever Lancashire League championship and promplty left the door ajar on a possible return to Nelson in 1999.

The West Indian all-rounder, now in his ninth season in the League, also revealed that if he did come back it would be to Seedhill.

After toasting Nelson's success following a narrow win at Church, Harper said: ``I am just savouring the moment for it is too early to say whether I will be in a position to return.

``I am waiting a call from the West Indies Cricket Board to see what they might have planned for me as regards touring and coaching with A team.

``Until then the picture will be unclear, but if I do come back to play league cricket in England I would love to do so at Nelson.

``I have been happy with my own contribution, although I would have liked a few more runs, but it is the way the team has played that has given me such great satisfaction.

``We have had our share of luck, every team needs that. But players have risen to the challenge superbly when the crunch has come.''
