The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) secretary Waqar Ahmad said that the changes were made in the rule relating to no ball and 30-yard field restriction circle.
Following is the text of changes:
``One of the changes implemented by Cricket Committee Playing was a standard penalty of one run for a no ball, plus any runs scored from the delivery. Clause 19 of the standard playing conditions for Test matches on page 45 and clause 7 of the ODI playing conditions on page 55 do not accurately reflect the CC-P decision. Each clause should read as follows-: Page 45: 19. Law 24.8 Penalty. The following shall apply in place of Law 24.8 A penalty of one run shall be scored for a no ball, plus any runs scored from the delivery. The above penalty shall also apply to clause 26.1 (fast short pitched balls) and clause 27 (fast, high, full pitched balls). Page 55: 7. No Ball; Short Pitched Bowling- If the ball passes or would have passed above the shoulder height of the striker standing upright at the crease, either umpire shall call and signal no ball. The penalty shall be one run for the no ball, plus any runs scored from the delivery. Appendix 1 on page 59: The 30 yard field restriction circle should be measured from the middle stump and not the popping crease as the diagram indicates. Please refer to the wording of clause 5 on page 54''.
