Bangladesh Cricketers' camp concludes Our Sports Reporter - 9 April 1999 The residential camp of the Bangladesh World Cup cricket team concluded at the BKSP yesterday. The 15-member squad, led by Aminul Islam, will leave for England on April 14, one month before the start of the last Championship of the millennium. The 1997 ICC Trophy champions, will face New Zealand in their opening Group B match at Chelmsford on May 17. Australia, West Indies, Pakistan and Scotland are the other teams in the first round group. Holders Sri Lanka, India, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Kenya and hosts England make up Group A. Thirty-three players took part in the gruelling eight-long clinic which began at the country's only sports institute from February 14. Nineteen were selected as probables on February 26 and the final 15 were named on March 22 during the tri-nation Meril International Tournament. Squad: Aminul Islam (captain), Khaled Mashud, Shahriar Hossain, Mehrab Hossain, Faruque Ahmed, Akram Khan, Khaled Mahmud, Hasibul Hossain, Shafiuddin Ahmed, Enamul Hoque, Mohammad Rafique, Naimur Rahman, Manjurul Islam, Jahangir Alam and Neeyamur Rashid.
