Invasion Of Fans The Barbados Nation - 24 April 1999 CRICKET FANS turned out in their hundreds yesterday to see the West Indies players. The venue was Sporting World on the third floor of Cave Shepherd, Broad Street, and it was pandemonium as fans sought autographs from the players. Local boy Sherwin Campbell was the No. 1 hit, but Hendy Bryan, Merv Dillon, Jimmy Adams and Pedro Collins were not left out during the hour-long session. Chris Dehring, chief marketing officer of the West Indies Cricket Board, said the exercise was done mainly to bring the players closer to the public. ``We want to bring the guys into the focus of the people,'' he said.
