Khettarama Cricket School to tour Bangalore
The Daily News - 18 April 1999

The Khettarama Cricket School will make a short cricket tour of Bangalore, India from April 20 to 30 on the invitation of the Bangalore YMCA.

A few months ago the Bangalore YMCA under 13 and 15 cricket teams were in the Island and played a series of limited over matches, in return they have invited the Khettarama Cricket School which was inaugurated in 1995 December.

Commander H. U. Silva the Director of the Sugathadasa Sports Complex has been instrumental in organising the tour.

Most of the players are from under privileged schools and both age groups will play five one day matches each that will no doubt give them good exposure against foreign teams.

The parents of the players will have to bear the air fare and the Bangalore YMCA will provide accommodation, meals etc.

Former Nomads cricketer Susil Ananda will accompany the team as coach and Preethi Sooriyarachchi will be the manager.
