Wasim Raja appointed as a coach of the national team
Pakistan Cricket Board - 11 August 1999

Pakistan Cricket Board is pleased to announce the appointment of aggressive and stylish former Test all-rounder Wasim Hasan Raja as coach of the Pakistan team on long term basis. Wasim Raja has played in 57 Tests and 54 One day internationals for Pakistan including 3 World Cups. He was a child prodigy who reached the top at a very young age. He is MA Political Science from Government College Lahore and Masters in Education from England. He has also attained the Post Graduate Teacher's Certificate from Durham. He is a qualified England Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Staff Coach. He is fully equipped with latest coaching techniques including use of computers and audio visual aids. He will commence his duties with Board very shortly.
