Quebec Juniors defeat Ontario juniors:
Canadian Cricket Association - August 15 1999

Just as there is a French fact in Quebec, junior cricket is on the rise in Montreal, Quebec. Quebec juniors fresh from their Canada Cup silver medal accomplishment, were too strong from the Ontario wide junior selects at Eglinton Flats ground 2.

This was the first time that the Quebec and Ontario cricket authorities were able to put together a junior squad to compete at the same time as the Seniors in the Atholstan Trophy.

Quebec was led by their lone representative on the Nortel Canada junior team and cannot be taken lightly. The accomplishments of and encouragement by Quebec Cricket Federation officials must be saluted.

President Charles Pais, of course was present and very obvious with his support and encouragement. Congratulations to all in the QCF, including Arvind Patel, coach, and Ravi and the other stalwarts in the Federation's junior movement.

Quebec beat Ontario XI's in both games on the weekend and must surely be pleased with the results of their investment in youth. Keep up the good work, Quebec.

Quebec cricket is once again on the rise. Its future is in very good hands.
