Dawn Teams for Kargil benefit match

Lahore, Aug 10: Celebrated Test cricketer Javed Miandad will lead the President's Eleven against the Prime Minister's Eleven in the Kargil fighters benefit festival floodlit cricket match to be played at the Qadhafi Stadium on Aug 15.

Paceman Waqar Younis is named captain of thePrime Minister's Eleven.

The names of three leading cricketers Wasim Akram, Salim Malik and Ijaz Ahmad are not included in the list. Famous googly bowler of yesteryear Abdul Qadir and Test discard Aamir Sohail will also represent the President's Eleven.

Athar Zaidi and Mian Muhammad Aslam will act as umpire while Javed Ashraf is TV umpire.

Following are the names of the two teams:

President's Eleven: Javed Miandad (C), Abdul Qadir, Aamir Sohail, Saleem Elahi, Asif Mahmood, Ijaz Mahmood, Bazid Khan, Javed Qadeer, Humayun Farhat, Shahid Nazir, Faisal Iqbal, Waqas Ahmad, Aamir Sohail Junior, Aamir Nazir.

Prime Minister's Eleven: Waqar Younis (C), Shahid Afridi, WajahatullahWasti, Akhtar Sarfraz, Inzamamul Haq,Yousuf Youhana, Azhar Mahmood, Rashid Latif, Abdur Razzaque, Mushtaq Ahmad, Fazle Akbar, Kamran Akmal, Mubashar Nazir, Naumanullah.
