Dawn Sharjah and Toronto to serve as practice series

Islamabad, Aug 25: Manager Pakistan cricket team Yawar Saeed on Wednesday said that Toronto and Sharjah one-day matches will help combine a winning Pakistan side for the real task in Australia. Talking to Dawn, Yawar Saeed said although, Toronto and Sharjah will be limited overs contest yet these will be vital to try out talent and make a well-tuned combination.

``I have never had any problems with my teams in the past, mainly because at the start of things I make the objectives very clear and half the battle of maintaining discipline is clear communication,'' the official said.

My foremost objective will be to keep the team as a one-unit both on-the-field and off-the-field, major task is to keep the inter-action smooth but my dealings are based purely on fairness and firmness, Yawar Saeed said.

Commenting on the opposition at Toronto the official said that West Indies were a very good side, unpredictable sometimes, but tough nonetheless.

On selection of Pakistan team, the manager said that their bowling attack is one of the best in the world but the batting needs to beefed up.
