At half-time Kandy led 48-3.

This was the season's highest score and Kandy could have easily topped the century mark but they dearly missed the services of a reliable place-kicker as Nalaka Weerakoddy limped off the field due to an injury seven try conversions most of them from kicking distance went abegging.
