With all the principle issues settled in the SNCL Premiership, tomorrow's programme mainly amounts to a shuffling of the mid-table pack plus the pride of finishing in the first three.

With West, who play relegated Stoneywood Dyce at Hamilton Crescent, confirmed as champions, Heriot's, away tomorrow to Ferguslie, already destined for division one, and Aberdeenshire, who go to Glenpark, are level on percentage points as they vie for second place in the table.

The Mannofield side, having had their championship aspirations severely dented by a string of defeats which saw them surrender the lead they had held for several weeks, were censured last year when, on the same ground and in the last fixture of the season, already assured of Premiership status, they virtually reversed their batting order.

This time, there is perhaps more pride at stake and with Greenock again fielding Phil Simmons, whose aggressive batting played no small part in bringing the West League Cup to Glenpark last weekend, this could be one of the most entertaining games of the day.

Carlton, who play cup-holders Ayr at Grange Loan, also have an outside chance of finishing in the top three, while West Lothian travel to Grange, both teams now relieved of the relegation pressures that threatened them for much of the season.
